About speaker / mic repair.
/ 01How do I know if it's the mic or just settings?+
Try recording a voice memo with the speaker covered, then the speakerphone covered. If neither picks up sound, it is the mic. If only one fails, it is module-specific. We can talk you through it in chat.
/ 02My loudspeaker sounds buzzy on loud audio — fixable?+
Yes. Buzzing usually means the diaphragm is blown or the housing has cracked. New module fitted at your door in about 30 minutes.
/ 03Does fixing the speaker affect water resistance?+
It can if the seal is not properly restored. We always re-fit the original speaker mesh and dust seals with fresh adhesive so the IP rating is maintained.
/ 04How long does the repair take?+
Most speaker and mic swaps are 25–35 minutes. Bottom-firing loudspeakers on iPhones are quickest; ear-speaker assemblies on Samsungs take a touch longer.
