§ C · QUESTIONS
About charging port repair.
/ 01Is it really the port, or just the cable?+
Try a different cable + a different plug first. If those don't fix it, the port is almost certainly the issue. Send us a photo and we will tell you which it looks like.
/ 02Can you just clean the port instead of replacing it?+
Often yes — pocket lint and dust are the silent killers. We always try a proper compressed-air + brush clean before we recommend replacement. Cleans are cheaper and faster.
/ 03Will USB-C ports work at full speed afterwards?+
Yes. We fit OEM-spec ports rated to the original speed (USB 2.0, 3.0 or 3.1 depending on the model) so charging and data both run as before.
/ 04What if my phone has water damage and corrosion in the port?+
We can clean corroded contacts and replace the port assembly, but if the corrosion has reached the board we may need to do component-level board work. We will tell you on inspection.
